Soil nailing

Soil nails are high strength steel bars drilled and grouted into a soil slope. The slope is usually dressed with a facing to further strengthen the slope. Soil nailing may be used to economically improve the stability of both natural and man-made slopes with a range of slope angles where the slope is deemed to have an unacceptably low factor of safety and presents a hazard to adjacent land usage. We have designed several soil nail solutions to stabilise existing unstable slopes. Latest design standards and specialist geotechnical analysis software packages are used to ensure our designs are robust yet economical. Details of reference projects are available on request.
